Kansas basketball has played more than 100 schools since the NCAA Tournament commenced in 1939. Find out each of the Jayhawks series records.

The first-ever NCAA Tournament began more than 80 years from today, following the conclusion of the 1938-39 regular season. It has been one of the most highly-viewed events in sports history ever since.

Although bracket rules have shifted significantly and the playing field has expanded over time, the Kansas Jayhawks have consistently been a mainstay in March Madness.

In the past 39 seasons, Kansas has missed the Big Dance just once. They’ve also won three national championships. During this time, they’ve met plenty of new opponents amid their quest for an NCAA title.

To document the storied postseason history of the Jayhawks, we decided to compile a complete list of who Kansas has competed against since the NCAA initiated the tournament we’ve all grown to love. Each conference is broken down into separate slides to organize the index.
