Bill Self has been the head coach of the Kansas men's basketball team for 22. This year, his Jayhawks fell from being ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation to a first-round exit from the NCAA Tournament. That in itself would be embarrassing enough for any program, much less a blue blood like Kansas.

However, the embarrassment doesn't end there. Not only did the Jayhawks have that disastrous fall from grace but it was only the second time ever that has happened in the men's NCAA Tournament. Who was the other team to let it happen? Self's 2005 Kansas squad.

This isn't the only embarrassing stat for the Jayhawks this season. Earlier this season, Kansas snapped a truly astonishing streak in the AP Top 25 Poll after the Jayhawks' 34-point loss to the then-unranked BYU Cougars.

Now, of course, Kansas has been kicked out of the NCAA Tournament and the Cougars upset the Wisconsin Badgers to move forward to the Sweet Sixteen.

The last two seasons have been some of the worst during Self's tenure with the Jayhawks, with one college basketball analyst comparing it to some of the worst seasons in program history.

Throughout his career in Kansas, Self has coached the Jayhawks to a resounding 609 wins with a winning rate of 80.4 percent. In the last two seasons, Kansas has won just 64.7 percent of its matchups, falling well short of the blue-blood standard.

The embarrassments seem to be unending for Self and the Jayhawks, however, the Kansas athletic department has yet to comment on its head coach's future with the program.
