The Kansas Jayhawks just wrapped up a multi-million dollar renovation of David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, and Mr. Booth just pledged $300 million more to the University's athletic department.

The massive overhaul of the stadium and the promise of even more improvements in the future have suddenly left a rival program in panic mode, trying to compare their stadium to that of the Jayhawks.

Kansas State (yes, those pesky Wildcats) recently shared a social media post with (supposedly) four different five-star reviews of their stadium:

Sounds pretty great, right? That is, until someone found out that all four of those five-star reviews were from the same guy on Yelp:

Seemingly, the Wildcats were so desperate to keep up with the Jayhawks that they planted a five-star review of their stadium, a feeble attempt to equate their home to that of their rivals.

Of course, the Sunflower Showdown will take place in Lawrence this season, at the newly-improved Booth Stadium, instead of in Manhattan, at the... consistent... Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The last time Snyder Stadium was renovated was 2013, over a decade ago, and there has been no news of multi-million dollar plans in the works. Meanwhile, the Jayhawks continue to ensure that their stadium, locker rooms, and more are state-of-the-art for their players.

This season, Kansas and Kansas State are scheduled to kick off on Saturday, Oct. 25, at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, for their 123rd matchup.

Throughout their lengthy history, the Jayhawks have defeated the Wildcats 64 times. Kansas State has walked away victorious on just 53 occasions, and the two rivals have tied five times.

Heading into the season, Kansas State is ranked No. 17 in the country, with the Jayhawks receiving zero votes in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll. Currently, the Wildcats are just 3.5-point favorites, according to the FanDuel Sportsbook.
