We're halfway through the year and Big 12 Media Days are rapidly approaching once again. As the Jayhawks look forward to their 2025 season, head coach Lance Leipold and a handful of his star players will head to Frisco, TX, to talk all things Kansas football.

The conference's media days are set for July 8 and 9, and will take place at The Star, the headquarters of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. Earlier this summer, Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark announced a new partnership with Microsoft for the two-day event.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Microsoft through the integration of Microsoft 365 Copilot into Big 12 Football Media Days and throughout the Conference,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “By incorporating Copilot’s AI technology into our daily operations, the Big 12 is enhancing productivity and further solidifying its reputation as a Conference of innovation."
Big 12 officials will reportedly use Microsoft's AI capabilities "to help review post-game video footage and generate learning and training insights" throughout the 2025-26 season (and possibly for years to come).
Last year, Kansas finished the season with a disappointing 5-7 overall record and a 10th-place finish in the Big 12 standings. This year, Leipold and his team are fighting to stay in the national conversation.
The Jayhawks will kick off their 2025 campaign on Saturday, Aug. 23, with a home game against the Fresno State Bulldogs.
