The Kansas baseball team earned the series win over the BYU Cougars with a 2-1 game count over their Big 12 opponent. However, the victory wasn't the most notable accomplishment of the weekend for the Jayhawks program.
With the second win over BYU, Kansas set a program record for total wins in a single baseball season, as well as checking off a few other achievements along the way.

- Broke the Hoglund Ballpark attendance record (2,660)
With the two wins over the Cougars, the Jayhawks improved to 39-14 on the season, losing just seven games at home and just 10 games to Big 12 opponents.

In the series against BYU, Kansas recorded 22 runs, including two home runs by Dariel Osoria and one homer by Chase Diggins. The Jayhawks earned those runs on 29 hits, leaving just a handful of runners stranded on base. Even in the Game 1 loss to the Cougars, the Jayhawks recorded five runs on just four hits.
To close out the regular season, Kansas will visit the West Virginia Mountaineers for a three-game series in Morgantown before the Jayhawks head to Arlington, TX, for the 2025 Big 12 Tournament. Currently, Kansas is unranked in the top 25, according to D1Baseball.
The series between Kansas and West Virginia is set to begin on Thursday, May 15, at 5:30 p.m. CT. The Big 12 Tournament will be held from Wednesday, May 21, to Saturday, May 24. Last but not least, the NCAA Tournament will begin on Friday, May 30.
