Kansas football vs. Boston College – September 19, 2020

Kansas football won of their most important games of the decade last year on the road against Boston College. The Eagles were over 20 point favorites, and the Jayhawks came away with a 48-24 victory.

Suffice it to say, Boston College will probably be looking for a little revenge from last season. The Eagles’ head coach would later be fired in the 2019 season, and the loss was embarrassing to the Boston College faithful. The Eagles went on to finish with a 6-7 record and a 38-6 loss in the Birmingham Bowl to #21 Cincinnati.

This will be both teams’ first game against a power-five team next season, so this one could really go either way, especially given that the game is in Lawrence. If the Jayhawks could pick up the win against Boston College it’d be an amazing way to start the season, and the Jayhawks would be one win away from going 3-0 in non-conference play.

Les Miles would also be the first Kansas football coach to have back to back seasons with wins against power-five teams (sigh).
