Kansas football vs. New Hampshire – September 5, 2020

The Jayhawks will kick off the 2020 season and the new decade against the FCS New Hampshire Wildcats. New Hampshire plays in the Colonial Athletic Association among other schools such as James Madison, Elon, and Northeastern. Last season, they finished 6-5 on the year, having cracked the FCS top 25 twice in the season.

Look, there’s no other way to put this other than to say that the Jayhawks should obliterate the Wildcats. Kansas football is a power-five conference team with far better facilities, coaching, funding, and players. If Les Miles and the Jayhawks drop this one, it’d put a damper on the 2020 season really fast.

Kansas would be dealing with a massive fallout in the event of a loss. Attendance would drop, the hype would die, and the season would seem bleak. It also wouldn’t help that the Jayhawks would have to face the Sugar Bowl runner-up Baylor the following week.

That’s not going to happen though. This team isn’t the Kansas football of old, this team is better, and can easily beat inferior foes, right?
