It goes without saying that Allen Fieldhouse is the best venue in all of college basketball, but if you think a normal game gets loud, how about a game where the players and fans can celebrate an outright conference championship — without storming the court of course.
If you have been to the fieldhouse, you know how great the pre-game video is to see. If not, take a minute to watch. If you have seen it, you know you’ll watch again.
Tonight also is senior night for those fourth- (and fifth, like me) year students as well. It is their last chance to act as wild and crazy as they can, before they are relegated to GA seats when they return to a game after graduation.
So expect to see an even more than normal rocking atmosphere tonight, that will basically render a West Virginia victory impossible.
When it’s all said and done, and the Allen Fieldhouse crowd contributes to yet another undefeated home season, the Jayhawks can head in to their final regular season match-up against Oklahoma with pride and a number two seed in the Big Dance to play for, before conference tournament action starts next week.
So kick back, yell and scream as loud as you can, and look for another memorable Jayhawk Senior Night.
