Just one day before college softball kicked off its 2025 season, the Kansas Jayhawks shared sneak peeks of their newest uniforms for their baseball and softball teams.
With gold detailing and the classic royal blue, the threads for both teams are similar. There is no image of the classic Jayhawk logo but "Kansas" can be found on the back of the baseball hats and both jerseys have "KU" on their sleeve.

One Kansas fan pointed out the similarities to the blue and golden uniforms frequently worn by the Kansas City Royals, the MLB team based less than an hour away from Lawrence, where the Jayhawks call home.

The Jayhawks' softball team will start its season at the FAU Paradise Classic where Kansas will face Clemson, Florida Atlantic, Wisconsin, Missouri State, and Ole Miss from Thursday, Feb. 6 through Saturday, Feb. 8.

The Kansas baseball team is scheduled to start its season with a four-game away series at Texas A&M Corpus Christi over the weekend of Friday, Feb. 14 through Monday, Feb. 17.
Last season, the Jayhawks baseball team finished with a 31-23 overall record, which left them well short of reaching the NCAA Tournament. The softball team finished the year at 25-28-1 overall which also left the team out of the postseason.
The Jayhawk women are expected to wear visors, which is regulation for collegiate softball, with the "KU" logo on the front in royal blue with the golden outline. Their first game in the FAU Paradise Classic against the Clemson Tigers at 1 p.m. CT.
