Just one day before college softball kicked off its 2025 season, the Kansas Jayhawks shared sneak peeks of their newest uniforms for their baseball and softball teams.

With gold detailing and the classic royal blue, the threads for both teams are similar. There is no image of the classic Jayhawk logo but "Kansas" can be found on the back of the baseball hats and both jerseys have "KU" on their sleeve.

One Kansas fan pointed out the similarities to the blue and golden uniforms frequently worn by the Kansas City Royals, the MLB team based less than an hour away from Lawrence, where the Jayhawks call home.

The Jayhawks' softball team will start its season at the FAU Paradise Classic where Kansas will face Clemson, Florida Atlantic, Wisconsin, Missouri State, and Ole Miss from Thursday, Feb. 6 through Saturday, Feb. 8.
