Kevin McCullar returned to the lineup to provide a spark for the Kansas Jayhawks in their win over Oklahoma on the road. In what could be the last game in Norman for years to come, with Oklahoma moving to the SEC next year, the Jayhawks left it how they often did with a win.
While Kevin struggled from the field all game, KU found a way to grind out a victory on the road. It wasn't pretty, but considering our conference road record now sits at 2-5, we will happily take a road win no matter how it looks. The Jayhawks had four players in double digits led by Hunter Dickinson with 20 points. KU Won 67-57. We are now off until next Saturday against Texas.
Tier 1: Big Jays
1. Hunter Dickinson
Hunter had a solid offensive showing, leading the team in scoring and rebounding going 9-for-16 from the field. Hunter continues to struggle from three, missing his only long-range shot in the game. Dickinson is now 3-for-26 from beyond the arc over the last 12 games. Hunter has shot just 17% from 3 in Big 12 Conference games after shooting 13-for-25 for a 52% average in nonconference games. Here is to hoping he finds that long-distance range again soon. Dickinson finished the day with 20 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, and four turnovers.
2. Johnny Furphy
Johnny found his range from deep, going 3-for-5 from three and 5-for-8 overall. He has continually been a bright spot for this team since being inserted into the starting lineup. Johnny had 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three steals, and no turnovers.
