Bill Self and Kansas basketball have an opportunity to redeem its disappointing loss to K-State when ESPN College GameDay travels to Lawrence this weekend for the Jayhawks' matchup against No. 13 Baylor.

Last year, one of KU's two College GameDay appearances included a home game vs. the Bears. The Jayhawks surmounted a 17-point deficit in a thrilling comeback win in which Kansas won 87-71.

This will mark the 23rd time that KU has been featured on College GameDay, with at least one appearance in 13 of the past 14 seasons. They hold a 15-7 all-time record, which improves to 9-2 if you only count games in Allen Fieldhouse.

Analysts Jay Williams, Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg, Andraya Carter, and Rece Davis operate the show, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. CT. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT, approximately six hours following the conclusion of the pregame show.

Kansas is undefeated at home during the 2023-24 season, and they will look to continue that trend into the highly anticipated matchup. The team defeated previously No. 4 Houston by 13 points when they took the floor last weekend.

Sitting one game behind Houston for the top spot in the Big 12, winning on Saturday is the first step to getting back on track to win the conference title. Since league play commenced, Self and Co. are 1-4 on the road with improbable losses to teams like UCF, West Virginia, and most recently K-State.

This is truly a must-win game for Kansas, which would drop to 6-5 in conference play with a loss. With conference play more than halfway completed, time is running out for KU to get momentum.

While the atmosphere brought by the Jayhawk faithful last weekend was one of the best in recent history, fans will surely bring their A-game when College GameDay comes into town.
