After suffering one of the worst seasons in recent Kansas basketball history, Bill Self and the Jayhawks will be busy searching in the transfer portal for players to bolster next year's roster. Many things must be corrected with the college basketball season coming to a close and portal entries beginning to ramp up.

Kevin McCullar, Nick Timberlake, and Parker Braun all ran out of eligibility following the season, but those will not be the only departures. Johnny Furphy and Hunter Dickinson could go pro and enter the NBA Draft, while other players are likely considering entering the portal themselves.

Love it or hate it, coaches need to exploit the transfer portal in today's age of college basketball. Without utilizing it properly, blue blood programs like Kansas will begin to fall behind some other schools. KU must add a handful of impactful transfers over the next few months so it does not have a consecutive down year.

These are the 3 biggest transfer portal needs for the Kansas Jayhawks.
