For the second straight game, both played at home, the Kansas basketball team played well, winning both decisively. The Jayhawks beat second-ranked Iowa State on Tuesday, 84-63, and handled Baylor on Friday, 80-62.
Next up for KU (15-5, 3-2) are the Colorado Buffaloes (12-6, 2-3). Two former Jayhawks sit on the Colorado sideline—head coach Tad Boyle and assistant coach Danny Manning.
Current Kansas star, Darryn Peterson, may be the best overall player to play for KU since Manning. Only Wilt Chamberlain stands above them. It will be interesting to see if Manning has any remarks about Peterson this week.
This game may determine if this Kansas team has truly turned a corner. Their last two impressive wins came in the Phog, but they haven’t played particularly well away from home. If the Jayhawks can continue their high level of play at Colorado, it would show everyone they are for real.
