The last season of Kansas men's basketball was a far cry from what fans were wanting or expecting. However, the Jayhawk Nation is still as excited as ever for the upcoming season.

Giving fans just a taste of what's to come, the team's social media team released a sneak peek at some of the newest Jayhawk stars donning their crimson and blue gear, building the anticipation for this year's squad.

Darryn Peterson, Samis, Calderon, Tre White, Corbin Allen, Jayden Dawson, and Melvin Council Jr. all had their day for gear fittings, trying on shoes, uniforms, and more (all made by Adidas, of course).

Overall, Kansas head coach Bill Self brought in the No. 28 recruiting class of 2025, including Peterson, a five-star shooting guard; Calderon, a three-star power forward; and Corbin Allen, a three-star shooting guard.

Kansas Jayhawks 2025 transfer portal rankings

Self's transfer portal class included White, who was rated as a four-star small forward, Dawson, who was rated as a four-star point guard, and Council, who was rated as a four-star shooting guard. The Kansas transfer portal class was ranked as the No. 62 group in the nation.

The Jayhawks lost six players to the portal this year, a majority of the reason that the Kansas transfer class is ranked so low this spring.

  • Rakease Passmore, four-star shooting guard - to Maryland
  • Rylan Griffen, four-star shooting guard - to Texas A&M
  • AJ Storr, four-star shooting guard - to Ole Miss
  • Zeke Mayo, four-star point guard - uncommitted
  • Zach Clemence, three-star power forward, to Texas A&M
  • David Coit, three-star point guard, to Maryland

Luckily for Kansas and Self, both Flory Bidunga and Shakeel Moore withdrew their names from the portal after the pair announced that they would transfer away from the Kansas Jayhawks.
