The highly anticipated 2024-25 Kansas basketball campaign is upon us. Late Night in the Phog is today, and the Jayhawks will compete in a pair of scrimmages before beginning the regular season against Howard on Nov. 4. Expectations are high in Lawrence after the team was ranked No. 1 in the Preseason AP Poll for the second consecutive year.

Next week, a trio of players and head coach Bill Self will make their way to Kansas City's T-Mobile Center to participate in the 2024 Big 12 Basketball Media Days presented by Sprouts Farmers Market. The representatives for KU are seniors Hunter Dickinson, Dajuan Harris, and KJ Adams.

Last year, Adams and Dickinson attended together alongside Kevin McCullar, who is now in the NBA. Harris is a sixth-year senior and has spent his entire collegiate career at KU, so he is a well-deserving candidate to travel with the other two vets.

Dickinson is one of the best players in the nation and was crowned Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year last week. He was a Consensus Second Team All-American in his first year donning the crimson and blue and will begin his quest for a national championship in his final season.

The men's team will meet with the media on Oct. 23, while the women's team will do so on Oct. 22. Elle Evans, Wyvette Mayberry, and S'Mya Nichols will represent Brandon Schneider and Co. at the event. Fans can watch portions of the event on ESPN+ from 10 a.m. CT to 3 p.m. CT each day.

A press release from the Big 12 wrote: "Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark will open Media Days with an 8:30 a.m. CT press conference on Tuesday followed by a series of Q&A sessions with women's head coaches and student-athletes moderated by Missy Heidrick. Wednesday will feature the men's head coach press conferences throughout the day. A feed of all press conferences and Q&A sessions will be available on ESPN+."
