It has been a long time coming, but the Kansas basketball team is nearing the start of the highly anticipated 2024-25 campaign. Less than a week from now, the season will kick off with the 40th edition of Late Night in the Phog inside legendary Allen Fieldhouse. The wait is finally over!

KU students and fans have access to an exclusive concert, team introductions, a scrimmage, and even the beloved half-court shot challenge for a chance to win $10,000. You won't want to miss out on seeing the new-look Jayhawks in action for the first time in public, so here is all the information you should know heading into Friday.

How to watch Late Night in the Phog 2024

For those who cannot attend the event, fans can tune in to Late Night if they have an ESPN+ subscription. Kansas Athletics is also hosting it on Facebook Watch and KUAthletics.com. Unfortunately, only the men's and women's scrimmages will be aired online due to copyright issues.

Who will be performing at Late Night in the Phog 2024?

Hip-hop artist Lil Jon will be the performer during Late Night. The Grammy-winning DJ is best known for songs such as "Turn Down for What" and "Yeah!" He rose to fame in the mid-2000s and has enjoyed mainstream success for over two decades.

Fellow rapper Nelly was expected to take the stage in Allen Fieldhouse this year, but he was replaced following his August arrest for suspected drug possession. Past performers during Late Night include Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, and more.

Late Night in the Phog 2024 scrimmages

The men's basketball team will play its scrimmage at approximately 7:55 p.m. CT, while the women are set to begin at 7 p.m. CT.
