There's still plenty of disbelief in Lawrence, as stud big man Flory Bidunga won't be back. In case you somehow missed it, the talented center has decided to test the NBA Draft waters, while also planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
3 Flory Bidunga transfer destinations Kansas fans would hate to see him at
One way or the other, No. 40 isn't going to be playing for Kansas next season. If he does come back to the college game, he's going to be one of the most sought-after players in the country. The new rankings have confirmed that, with Bidunga being ranked five stars, the No. 1 transfer center in the country and No. 1 player in the portal overall by 247Sports. Yup, this makes things worse.

Flory Bidunga is already the No. 1 transfer player in the country
This just adds to this being a major loss for the Jayhawks. Hey, if he ends up going to the NBA, then perfect, we wish him the best. However, if Bidunga does end up transferring and he ends up at a fellow powerhouse, it's going to be tough to watch.
Keep in mind too that he entered the portal last season, but he had a change of heart and decided to play for Kansas after all. This time around, though, it's tough to see him doing the exact same thing. In terms of the draft, Bidunga is currently projected to be a second-rounder per ESPN's Pete Thamel.
That could change if he impresses during workouts, but you've got to figure he won't go pro if he stays as a second-round option, right? That's all fluid, but for now everyone has to wait and see what the talented center decides to do next.
With the transfer portal opening up soon, you've got to figure that teams are going to be lining up to try to land him. From our chair, Duke, Kentucky and Alabama make the mose sense, while Michigan State would be a wildcard to keep an eye on.
Bidunga is going to land a major payday regardless, but seeing him play elsewhere next season won't feel right for a lot of Kansas fans. If he goes on to have a big year, plenty of people will be wondering what could have been had he stayed with the Jayhawks.
