Kansas fans, after a long week of anticipation, the day has finally come for the Jayhawks to take on the Tigers. A matchup that hasn’t seen the field since 2011 has finally made its return. In what will be a duel between two electric quarterbacks.

Earlier, we reported on the preview that former Michigan legend Desmond Howard and Hall of Fame coach Nick Saban compiled for Beau Pribula and Jalon Daniels

Both have shown lightning-quick speed, tight passing accuracy, and an ability to break the game at any point, as the duo pointed out.

Now, before the end of every “College Gameday,” the crew plus the guest picker for the day will break down the biggest games on the slate, and while the show may have been hosted in Oklahoma for the anticipated showdown between the No.18 Sooners and the No.15 Michigan Wolverines, the desk also selected their projections for the Missouri and Kansas matchup. Today’s desk included former Michigan Heisman winner Desmond Howard, host Rece Davis, who stays away from the picks, former West Virginia Mountaineer and Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee, legendary head coach Nick Saban, former Ohio State QB Kirk Herbstreit, and, for this week, former Sooner and current Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young

Howard went first, where he selected the Jayhawks. Saban followed it up by choosing the SEC side. McAfee followed Howard with the Jayhawks. Young, who spent just one season at Oklahoma.

When Young unsurprisingly chose the Tigers, he followed it up with this statement.

“I’m gonna have to go with Missouri…I am rolling with them, I can’t with the Jayhawks…can’t.”

Young faced Bill Self’s Kansas twice, the first a shock 85-80 Sooners win. Young dropped 26 points on 7-9 shooting splits, where he followed with nine assists and five turnovers when the two met in late January 2018.

The Jayhawks got their revenge soon after, thanks to a dominant 104-74 February Kansas win, which saw Young total 11 points on a worse 3-13 night to go with nine assists and five turnovers as well.

Kansas takes on the Missouri Tigers at 2:30 PM CT on ESPN 2
