Last month, we reported that class of 2026 power forward Latrell Allmond had filed Kansas inside his final nine schools thanks to a tweet by Joe Tipton of On3.

Earlier today, Tipton announced that Allmond is set to visit the Jayhawks this weekend.

On3, reports Allmond as the 34th-best player in the nation, and as the No. 5 power forward in the nation, and the No. 2 state from Virginia.

Allmond is currently slated as having a 34.4% chance of landing at Indiana, with Georgetown sitting at 10.7% of taking Allmond with Kansas sitting all the way down with a 7.6%

It will be interesting to see how Allmond's visit affects his chances of joining Bill Self at Kansas.

What do other recruiting services say?

247Sports, posts Allmond as the No. 41 recruit in the class of 2026, the No.7 power forward and the No. 2 player out of Virginia.

Every contending team for Allmond is placed as "cool," which does not give any team a defined advantage.

Final Thoughts

Allmond stands at 6-foot-8, which already pushes him as the fourth-tallest player on this current Kansas roster behind Paul Mbiya (7-foot), Bryson Tiller (6-foot-10), and Flory Bidunga (6-foot-9).

Kansas will also have a chance to impress Allmond as the Jayhawks have stifling tests early into the season with the University of North Carolina (Nov. 7), Duke in the State Farm Champions Classic (Nov. 18) and UConn (Dec. 2) all squaring off against Self's restructured squad which is led by former 247Sports No. 1 recruit Darryn Peterson.

Kansas first takes the hardwood on November 3rd, as the Jayhawks are set to host Green Bay at Allen Fieldhouse before their daunting early-season stretch occurs, and they travel to the Dean. E. Smith Center to take on the Tar Heels.
