Kansas has now taken down not just one undefeated team this season but two, both in Big 12 play. The Jayhawks ended Iowa State's undefeated run a couple of weeks ago, and on Monday night, took down No. 1 Arizona, which held a Big 12 record, a 23-0 perfect record. Perfection is no longer in the conversationf or the Wildcats as Bill Self led his team to their biggest win this season.

At home on ESPN Big Monday in the Bill Self era, Kansas was 38-0, and now they add another one to the win column, as well as extend their win streak to eight games. The Phog was ready and rocking on Monday night as students had camped out early yet again for the big matchup.

After the massive 82-78 win over no. 1 Arizona, Self joined Scott Van Pelt on the mic on SportsCenter, where he credited his team, but more importantly, he credited the fans around him.

"This place won this game tonight," Self said. " I'll tell you what, Allen Fieldhouse won this game tonight."

After crediting the fans for their part in the game, Self was thanked by a roar from the crowd that could be heard over the mic during the interview. It is hard to believe, but this win over No. 1 Arizona was the first time Kansas has beaten an AP No. 1 team in Allen Fieldhouse. Before Monday night, the Jayhawks were 0-5 under Bill Self in the building.

The Phog is truly one of the toughest places to play in all of college basketball, and some might even say it is one of the most electric places to play in all of sports. The way fans show up for this team is remarkable, and they truly know how to make it hard for opposing teams.

Before the game, even Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd talked about when Arizona played at Allen Fieldhouse last season and how he had to admit even to himself that the hype was real.

Kansas is now in its biggest role of the season, and it feels like this team is just getting started. The Jayhawks can't take their foot off the gas, though, as they turn around and have a matchup against No. 5 Iowa State in Ames on Saturday.
