Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks are one step closer to landing a highly sought-after three-star tight end from the state of Texas. However, that tight end is testing Leipold's patience as his decision day looms overhead.
Braden Bach, a three-star tight end in the class of 2026, shared that he was down to just three programs under consideration: the TCU Horned Frogs, the Jayhawks, and the Kansas State Wildcats.
Bach shared his final three on Tuesday, June 17, with the message, "Thank you [TCU, Kansas State, and Kansas] for believing in me. I will be forever grateful for you giving me an opportunity. Decision timeβ¦"
Then... he didn't include when his decision time would come.

Over the last two weeks, Bach took official visits with the three programs, most recently visiting the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth, which is about half a mile from his hometown of Argyle.
Braden Bach official visits
- Kansas Jayhawks, May 30
- Kansas State Wildcats, June 6
- TCU Horned Frogs, June 13
His visit to Kansas State was his second trip to Manhattan since starting his recruiting process. He has visited the Jayhawks and the Horned Frogs just once apiece. In June 2024, he also visited the Oklahoma Sooners but never scheduled an official visit with the SEC team.
After his visit to Lawrence, Bach shared photos on social media with the message, "Appreciate these Kansas coaches. [Leipold] and KU are doing something new. The whole staff is 1st Class!"

While Jayhawk fans (alongside TCU and Kansas State fans) waited to hear which team Bach will commit to, both On3 and 247Sports recruiting analysts crystal-balled the Horned Frogs to land the young tight end.
