The first week of the college basketball season is complete. These are our first Big 12 basketball power rankings of the year.

We were finally able to catch a glimpse at what each team in the conference will look like this season. With the prevalence of the transfer portal in the new age of college basketball — especially for Kansas and West Virginia — Big 12 basketball has a ton of new faces to watch.

Most contests at this point in the season are unimportant, but we did see some schools lose “buy games” to lesser mid-major programs. On the other hand, a new addition to the Big 12 picked up a massive ranked victory on their home court and could quietly be a competitive squad.

There haven’t been enough competitions to truly analyze how these teams are playing amongst one another, but we used our Big 12 basketball preseason power rankings as reference. You can click through each slide and see where your favorite team landed on our list.
