One of the best wide receivers in the Class of 2025 included Kansas football in his top eight list of schools. More on 4-star Isaiah Mozee.
The No. 1 player in the state of Missouri included the Kansas Jayhawks in his final eight, along with Oregon, Tennesee, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Nebraska.
Isaiah Mozee is the 52nd-ranked player in the country in the 2025 recruiting class, according to 247 Sports. He is also listed as the seventh-best wideout in the nation. He turned down offers from Georgia, Notre Dame, Michigan, and other prestigious programs to include Kansas, which is a good sign on the recruiting trail for Leipold’s coaching staff.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver who attends Lee’s Summit North has held an offer from Kansas prior to the Lance Leipold era. He was present at the program-changing victory against Oklahoma in David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium this past Saturday, and his father Jamar Mozee was very impressed by the atmosphere.
“They went toe to toe with them. That was not luck at all,” the former Division I tailback proclaimed. “It speaks volumes. They’ve been doing a good job recruiting him anyway and I have a lot of respect for Coach Leipold and their staff and the way they recruit it’s real meat and potatoes. Nothing showy about it. They present who they are and you can tell by the way he coaches it’s real and you can tell the guys love playing for him.”
There is some irony in that quote, as his father actually played for Oklahoma in the early 2000s. However, he was impressed by the atmosphere in The Booth and the trajectory of KU’s program.
Oklahoma, Oregon, and Missouri have been at the forefront of his recruitment for quite some time. However, if Kansas football continues to stun the world during its dream season, Mozee could prioritize the Jayhawks in due time.
Quarterback David McComb is the only player committed to KU in 2025.
