Kansas football: 5 quick takeaways from Jayhawks win against UCF Knights
Kansas football ran all over the UCF Knights in its 51-22 blowout victory yesterday. These are five quick takeaways we formed about the Jayhawks moving forward.
The Kansas Jayhawks displayed a level of dominance we had not seen from them during the 2023 season in their sixth game of the season. Even in the absence of star quarterback Jalon Daniels, KU posted 50+ points for the first time since last year’s Liberty Bowl loss to Arkansas.
Lance Leipold’s group posted some historic numbers on the ground, nearly eclipsing the 400 mark. There were also significant improvements on the other side of the ball, as the secondary allowed just 169 passing yards and came up with timely stops when needed.
Kansas football fans were feeling disheartened after the team was blown out of the water by No. 3 Texas on the road. However, things are once again trending upwards as the Jayhawks enter their final game before the bye week.
