Kansas basketball fans had a lot to say about Late Night in the Phog. Come see what the Jayhawk faithful posted on social media.

Yesterday’s rendition of Late Night in the Phog went pretty well, depending on who you’re speaking with. Flo Rida headlined the event, and the Kansas Jayhawks women’s and men’s basketball teams competed in a short scrimmage. It was an amusing experience for those who attended, including a pair of two highly touted recruits.

One thing that a lot of people weren’t fond of was the men’s scrimmage. It was awfully sluggish, and Bill Self called it the worst he’s seen while he has been head coaching at Kansas. We probably shouldn’t be reading too deep into that, but the team will certainly be running suicides all of the next practice.

“That was awful. That was as bad a play as we’ve ever had for a Late Night,” the Kansas basketball head coach said. “It was kind of a screwed-up deal though, starting and stopping and doing that kind of stuff. The sequence of events didn’t flow very well or wasn’t conducive for good play. We looked bad. I promise you we’ll play a lot better than that.”

So, we know how Coach feels about it. What about Kansas basketball fans and other people on social media? Take a look for yourself.

There is your answer. Nobody was impressed by Kansas’ lackadaisical effort on the court. Quite frankly, it couldn’t have been sloppier.

All in all, Late Night could have gone a bit better. However, it is way too early to start speculating about the team just because of an intra-squad scrimmage. KU’s regular season will officially begin on Nov. 6 against NC Central.
