Kansas football: 5 predictions for the Jayhawks showdown vs. UCF Knights
4. Jason Bean surprises everyone and plays a terrific game
Jason Bean received a lot of disapproval from the Kansas football fanbase after his performance against Texas. He completed 9-of-21 passes for 136 yards in last week’s loss, the first of the season for the Jayhawks. Assuming Jalon Daniels doesn’t magically heal up in the next two days, he’ll be getting the call under center.
Despite his questionable outing last week, Jayhawk fans should still believe in Bean. He was given no time to prepare, learning he would start against the No. 3 team in the country just 30 minutes before game time. With a full week of reps with the first-team practice squad, KU’s offense should look much smoother under Bean.
He is capable of beating you with his legs or his big arm. The offensive line should give him more time to throw this weekend. You should completely discard what you remember about Bean a few days ago and look ahead to UCF, because he should have a very good day.
