1. Team chemistry

A team that returns just three scholarship players is bound to be lacking chemistry. The Puerto Rico games might have helped with that, but they were nowhere near the end result.

If you haven’t noticed already, talent alone will not win you national championships in college basketball. Duke would take home the title every year if that were the case. Squads need to be one cohesive unit in order to be great.

While the scrimmage will be 5-on-5 and we won’t be able to see all the lineups Coach Self will use during the season, we should get a better perspective on how certain players work with others. How Hunter Dickinson’s teammates can play with him will be a huge factor. He and Dajuan Harris are said to have a great connection so far.
