The quickly evolving recruitment of Emmanuel Stephen extended to Kansas basketball. He will visit the Jayhawks campus later this summer.

As the Kansas Jayhawks continue prioritizing players for their 2024 recruiting class, several names have popped up in the past several weeks. One of them is Emmanuel Stephen, a 7-footer who scheduled an official visit to the University of Kansas.

Stephen, a 4-star recruit from Dream City Christian in Arizona, has obtained an abundance of interest from other top-notch programs this summer. He is ranked No. 103 overall on the 247 Sports Composite and No. 117 on Rivals.

In Nike’s EYBL Circuit, he averaged 8.8 rebounds and three blocks across 22 contests. He went from being unranked on major recruiting websites to flirting with top 100 rankings in a very short time.

A strong showing at Peach Jam propelled his recruiting stock to skyrocket. He was awarded Defensive MVP while averaging just shy of four rejections per game. We could see him garner interest from other premier programs as he enters his senior year.

Kansas basketball extended an offer to him on May 30. Arizona State, LSU, and USC are other interested parties. KU is the first visit he announced, which should bode well for the Jayhawks’ chance of landing the highly-touted center.

JayhawkSlant first reported that Stephen would be on campus from Sep. 5-8.

Very few players in the Class of 2024 are as menacing in the paint as Stephen. His shot-blocking ability and tremendous height would be valuable assets for Kansas basketball.

Combo guards Jalil Bethea and Jared Harris are the other players scheduled to visit Kansas in September. You can view each recruit that the Jayhawks have been in contact with by clicking here.
