Power Forward — KJ Adams

We know that KJ will get a starting nod when the season begins, but it remains to be seen what kind of role he will have. Will he continue to only make hustle plays and putbacks, or will he extend his offensive game to the perimeter? Now that he is serving as the team’s power forward and not as the center, he will need to function differently on the floor.

During KU’s first offseason scrimmage, Adams was found hitting mid-range jumpers and playing beyond the arc. If he can learn to score outside of the paint, this team will be completely unstoppable. However, he will start for the Jayhawks regardless. He can always shift over to the 5 if Dickinson gets into early foul trouble.
