Small Forward — Kevin McCullar

McCullar’s decision to return to KU instantly made them the preseason No. 1 team. Similar to Dajuan, he does all the little things on the court. Even if McCullar is not the best scorer, his impact on the floor cannot be understated. His rebounding ability is often overlooked, and we could even see him make some strides offensively this season.

It is another no-brainer selection. Incoming freshman Marcus Adams Jr. is the only other wing player on scholarship. This spot was secured for him the second he announced that he’d withdrawn from the NBA Draft. McCullar offers versatility to Coach Self, as he is someone who can play both the three and four spots if need be.
