With the NBA Draft just a week away, we predicted the landing spots for former Kansas basketball stars Gradey Dick and Jalen Wilson.

Before Kevin McCullar withdrew his name from the NBA Draft, Kansas Jayhawks fans were expecting three KU players to hear their names called on draft night. However, only Gradey Dick and Jalen Wilson remain in the pool.

Dick, a one-and-done at Kansas, is a projected lottery pick due to his elite three-point shooting ability and 6-foot-8 frame. He fits the mold of a prototypical 3-and-D wing in today’s NBA and could be the ultimate role player on a contender if he continues to develop.

Meanwhile, Wilson is placed in the early-to-mid second round in most NBA mock drafts. Despite averaging 20.1 points and 8.3 rebounds as a junior, he is not as highly touted as Dick. However, Wilson displayed tons of leadership and grit at the college level, which should give him a good standing with scouts.

Every organization would be fortunate to snatch either of these ex-Jayhawks in the draft. This is a prediction of where Dick and Wilson will end up based on how their skill sets mesh with the rest of the team. Additionally, we evaluate the squads that need players at the position that Dick and Wilson play.
