Class of 2024 linebacker Jacorey Stewart committed to Kansas football following the conclusion of his official visit to the campus.

The Kansas Jayhawks just picked up their sixth commitment of the 2024 recruiting class in Jacorey Stewart. He joins Isaiah Marshall, Red Martel, Jonathan Kamara, Aundre Gibson, and Carson Bruhn as verbal commits.

Stewart, a 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker from Georgia, had a crystal ball in place for him prior to the news. 247 Sports gives him a prospect grade of 86, ranking him as the nation’s No. 91 linebacker and No. 111 player in Georgia for his graduating class.

He told Jayhawk Slant that Kansas made him feel at home.

"“First off, I was the first recruit to talk to Coach Leipold. They just showed me love like they want me there. They said I was the first linebacker we took on the first weekend to visit. There weren’t a lot of schools doing that. When the school is doing that, you’ve got to show them love. That’s the place I want to be.”"

Although he is listed as an outside linebacker, Stewart is also an above-average open-field tackler. As a junior at Milton High School, he totaled 90 tackles, breaking up 11 passes and recording five sacks. Defensive coordinator Brian Borland will be able to use him in a variety of different defensive packages.

Stewart was one of the twelve visitors to visit Kansas this past weekend, and Kansas football will likely bring in more players very soon. Harrison Utley, Damani Maxson, Harry Stewart, and Austin Alexander all have Rivals forecasts and 247 Sports crystal balls in favor of the Jayhawks. Needless to say, the 2024 KU recruiting class is coming along nicely.
