Kansas football fans should brace themselves for several commitments in the coming weeks, as multiple crystal balls are in place for the Jayhawks.

The Kansas Jayhawks 2024 football recruiting class is getting hot in a hurry.

With nearly a dozen high schoolers visiting Lawrence for official visits, Michael Swain of 247 Sports submitted two crystal ball predictions on June 10 — both with a confidence level of 7.

Firstly is Austin Alexander, a 4-star cornerback who attends Marian Catholic in Illinois. He recently cut his schools list to five, including Kansas, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, and Iowa State.

He is a 6-foot-1, 165-pound hybrid player who would be Lance Leipold’s second-highest-ranked high school recruit since his arrival, trailing only Jayhawk running back Devin Neal. The 247 Sports Composite lists him as the No. 411 player in the Class of 2024, while On3.com puts him at No. 233 in the country. They give him a prospect grade of 91.

The second player is running back Harry Stewart, who is 5-foot-10, 205 pounds, and goes to Centennial in Frisco, Texas. He is a power back who regularly breaks tackles and is very elusive for his size. Other schools he is considering are SMU, Baylor, Mizzou, and Cal.

KU already holds a commitment from fellow tailback Red Martel in the 2024 class, though Stewart is more highly touted than him. Rivals gives Kansas football a 56.9 percent chance to land the Texas native, and most recruiting sites have him as a high-end 3-star.

3-star interior offensive lineman Harrison Utley also picked up a crystal ball to Kansas earlier this week. His official visit concludes today, and Kansas football could be in for a promising June if all of Swain’s forecasts come to fruition.
