Jalen Wilson was one of the best players in college with Kansas basketball, but how will he pan out at the next level?

Bill Self has mentored some of the best players to ever step foot in Allen Fieldhouse since he became the Kansas Jayhawks head coach. It’s an impressive feat alone that Jalen Wilson became the third Jayhawk ever to average 20+ points per game under Self.

Wilson accomplished almost everything you could possibly think of at Kansas. After winning a national championship as a redshirt sophomore, he took a tremendous leap as a junior to become the Big 12 Player of the Year and a Consensus First-Team All-American. Wilson was the best player on a team that earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Despite his dominance as a college player, there are questions surrounding how he will perform in the NBA. We know he can take on a leadership role and has a knack for scoring at the rim, but his lack of athleticism and below-average defense are major concerns among NBA scouts.

Wilson will undoubtedly hear his name called on draft night, likely in the early to mid-second round.

Let’s take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of Jalen Wilson’s game.
