Read these Twitter reactions from top college basketball analysts and hoops fans throughout the country after Hunter Dickinson committed to Kansas basketball.

Hunter Dickinson dropped a bombshell on the NCAA basketball world when he announced he would commit to the Kansas Jayhawks. The move immediately makes KU a title contender for next season, and he is arguably the best player to enter the transfer portal in D-I history.

A transfer from Michigan, Dickinson averaged 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds as a junior. He heads to Kansas for his fourth and final year of college basketball. Dickinson is a dominant 7-foot-1 center who has a variety of post moves.

The other teams in the running for him were Kentucky, Villanova, and Maryland, among others. While Kansas fans are ecstatic about him coming to Lawrence, others are not, especially on the commitment post he released on Twitter:

That was not all.

Perhaps a little bit of salt in those comments. They might be Maryland fans who thought their program would get him. Surely, they would not comment those things if he had.

Kansas fans were ecstatic about the decision. Why wouldn’t we be?

College basketball analysts had a different perspective of Dickinson committing to Kansas, saying it was a fantastic decision for him and his career.

It is a bold move by Dickinson to leave the school he was beloved at and go to a blue blood that likely gave him plenty of NIL benefits. However, he made the best decision for his career, particularly because he is not projected to be a high-level NBA player.

With the news, fans can finally rest at night knowing the Hunter Dickinson saga is over. We have waited more than a month for it to finish, and it has been put to rest at last.

Jayhawks fans rejoice. Bill Self is back at full strength after his health scare, and the Kansas Jayhawks have a loaded roster.
