After an official visit with Kansas basketball today, Harrison Ingram could commit to the Jayhawks in the next few days if all goes well.

Kansas had its season end nearly a month from today, yet no players have joined the roster since. Granted, we did see five players depart from the program to the transfer portal and three to the NBA Draft, but no newcomers have arrived thus far.

Enter Harrison Ingram. The transfer from Stanford has been linked to Kansas since he came out of high school, and now we might see him in KU blue next season. He is embarking on an official visit to the campus today.

According to intel from 247 Sports, Ingram is close to making his decision. They claimed he would commit “relatively shortly” after the several visits he scheduled. He had some at-home visits last week but has only visited in person with UNC.

Although nothing is set in stone, Kansas fans should feel good about Ingram’s stance with Bill Self’s coaching staff. He received two crystal ball picks to Kansas by 247 Sports experts three days ago. Ingram would, presumably, fill out the role that Kansas expected MJ Rice to take over.

Ingram is one of the premier wings on the market. He offers a combination of size, defense, and playmaking that not many players provide. If that is not impressive enough, scouts think he can develop a respectable jump shot with his shooting mechanics. The 6’8″, 230-pound forward shot 31.3% and 31.9% from three as a member of the Cardinal.

In addition to Hunter Dickinson, Nicolas Timberlake, and/or Primo Spears, Ingram would headline a special transfer class for the Jayhawks. KU has plenty of spots to fill on the 2023-24 roster, and Ingram would bolster it in a tremendous way.
