One week ago, Harrison Ingram’s supposed transfer destination was North Carolina, but rumors of him choosing Kansas are heating up.

Kansas basketball has been linked to dozens of players in the transfer portal, but three players seem to be at the top of their list — Hunter Dickinson, Nicolas Timberlake, and Harrison Ingram.

Harrison Ingram is a former five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American out of high school. He played two seasons for the Stanford Cardinal, totaling 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game over his first two seasons. At his size, Ingram is one of the best playmakers and defenders on the market, and he would replace Jalen Wilson and Kevin McCullar as the team’s rebounding wing.

Their chances of landing Ingram have increased significantly in the past few days. UNC was his overwhelming choice once, and his commitment to the Tar Heels was reportedly imminent. Instead, head coach Bill Self has swooped in and worked his magic as he always does.

Two 247 Sports contributors posted a crystal ball of Ingram coming to Kansas. Their confidence levels were six and seven, respectively. We could see KU’s first transfer portal landing within the following week.

Although no date has been set, reports say that he is planning a visit with KU in the early stages of next week. After the completion of his in-home and on-campus visits, he is expected to commit soon after.

These experts would not make a crystal ball prediction if they did not know what was happening behind the scenes. It is an exciting time for Jayhawk fans.

People had talked about Ingram being one of KU’s main targets before he even hit the portal. Now, that speculation is coming to fruition. We could very well see a Kansas starting lineup consisting of Dajuan Harris, Harrison Ingram, and Hunter Dickinson next year.
