Ranking every Kansas basketball transfer from the past decade
By Kyle Jones
9. KJ Lawson: 1 season (35 games) – 9.9 MPG, 3.1 PPG, 2.0 RPG, 0.5 APG
Lawson was a good player at Memphis, but his move to Kansas had more to do with him being a package deal with his brother, who we’ll get to in due time. After being a starter and 12 point per game scorer at Memphis, he saw a huge hit to his minutes in Lawrence. He had some moments of being a solid contributor, with nine games above his scoring average. He also had some moments that made Self want to rip his hair out. His lone season was disappointing, but it was still better than everyone below him on this list.
