Christian Bishop is one of many attractive names to recently join the transfer portal, and it seems Kansas basketball is extending their interest to the former Creighton Bluejay.

Following his junior season at Creighton, it appears that the Missouri native wants to take his talents elsewhere.

Bishop saw a decent performance against the Jayhawks this past season and while Creighton was handed a tough loss, it was clear that Christian was one of the more talented players on their roster.

Averaging 11 points per game by Creighton’s season-ending Sweet 16 loss, Bishop had been a consistent scorer inside and provided defensive support as well.

What would it take to get Bishop to come to Kansas? Well, that’s up for debate.

Bishop spent a lengthy portion of his college career in Omaha, NE and he may want a change of scenery.

The NCAA has a lot of programs growing stronger, such as Arkansas and Illinois. With so many options out there, he may be reluctant to choose a Kansas program with pending NCAA allegations.

I could be wrong, and I hope I am. Bishop would be a strong addition to Kansas’ roster and he’d bring more consistency to our offensive picture.

We shouldn’t expect a break-out year by any means, but his resume is solid and I think head coach Bill Self would be thrilled to have him competing in Lawrence.

This one is sort of a toss-up, but things could very well fall in Kansas’ favor here. Coach Self’s lifetime contract has been receiving heavy attention and his dedication to the Jayhawks’ program could be something that catches Christian’s attention.
