Three keys for Kansas basketball to win the Big 12 Tourney

1. The Inside Attack

It’s no debate that Kansas’ main source of points has been their ability to find David McCormack inside for quick buckets.

Whether or not he’ll thrive in the postseason is another question. McCormack has stepped into a very dominant role for the Jayhawks, and by now he should know that he’ll be playing an important part in Kansas’ tournament efforts.

Putting up nearly 20 points in each of Kansas’ last two contests, Dave is starting to hit his stride at the right time. He’ll also need to avoid foul trouble, which has become a noticeable issue in recent weeks for the junior forward.

Along with McCormack’s efforts inside the paint, Ochai Agbaji has displayed his ability to work inside. However, it hasn’t produced the same output as it has from Dave.

Ochai has a starting role on this Kansas roster, and part of that comes from his performance outside the arc. This will need to be where Ochai continues to direct his attention and help create space and relief for Dave inside.
