With the release of the Big 12 conference’s MBB Tournament bracket, we have three keys for Kansas basketball to take the tourney.

Kansas basketball landed a No. 2 seed in the 2021 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament, which is a much prettier seat than fans might’ve been expecting.

Even with the major win over Baylor before the end of their regular season, there is some ground for skeptical thinking based on the Jayhawks’ performance against UTEP last week.

Head coach Bill Self will have his concerns sitting in Kansas City now, as his Jayhawks are set to tip-off in the Thursday, March 11th session, which gives Kansas a first-round bye.

While conference tournaments are a precursor of sorts to the NCAA Tournament, it’s something that Kansas should want on their resume heading into ‘the big dance’.
