Kansas basketball: Four Big 12 foes who could challenge the Jayhawks
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Maybe not who you expected to see on here, but Oklahoma State could be a darkhorse team next season in the Big 12. The Cowboys signed the second-best recruiting class in the conference which includes the No. 1 overall prospect in the class of ’20 Cade Cunningham.
Although they were incredibly average, OSU won their last five of their final six games in the 2020 season; however, they will be losing three seniors including Lindy Waters, Thomas Dziagwa, and Cameron McGriff.
Big 12 honorable mention Isaac Likekele will be back though, along with Yor Anei and other Cowboys that could play even more prominent roles in 2021. While they may not be directly competing for a Big 12 title, Oklahoma State will likely be a solid team in the Big 12 led by Cunningham.
Kansas basketball will be facing some tough completion in both their non-conference schedule and Big 12 schedule. The Jayhawks are more than capable of a 30-win season though and repeating as Big 12 championship despite playing some of the best teams in the country.
