Kansas basketball is going to miss Devon Dotson next season, so let’s reminisce about some of his best games from last season.

With his lightning-fast speed, Devon Dotson was one of the most prolific scorers in the nation. He averaged 18.1 points per game, which led Kansas basketball and the Big 12. Dotson was solid on the defensive end too, racking up 2.1 steals per game over the course of the season.

For his performance, Dotson earned a consensus first-team All-Big 12 selection as well as a second-team All-American nod.

There’s no denying that Dotson is one of the best point guards in Kansas Jayhawks history, and it’s truly sad that his team didn’t get a chance to compete in the 2020 NCAA Tournament.

To celebrate Dotson, let’s take a look back on some of his best performances from the memorable 2019-20 season in chronological order.

No. 1: Kansas vs. Dayton

Both Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike came to play in the championship game of the Maui Invitational. Dotson dropped a career-high 31 points in addition to grabbing six rebounds and five steals in the overtime win for Kansas. He was unbelievable throughout the game, and it seemed like he couldn’t miss shooting 73 percent from the field.

No. 2: Kansas @ TCU

Dotson played one of his most complete games of the season when the Jayhawks traveled to Fort Worth to take on TCU. Against the Horned Frogs, Dot put up 18 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. The 11 assists were a new career-high for Dotson as he helped lead Kansas to a 60-46 victory.

No. 3: Kansas @ Kansas State

Despite K-State struggling on the court last season, the Sunflower Showdown rivalry was every bit as intense due to the brawl the first time the two foes played each other. Dotson had to step up in the game at Bramlage Coliseum due to Udoka Azubuike battling an injury throughout the game. Dotson rose to the occasion and wound up scoring 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting to lead Kansas to the 62-58 win.
