Game 11: Away vs. Villanova

This will be Kansas’ first true road game of the season. While I do think recency bias is what led to the media granting the Wildcats with a preseason top 10 ranking, I do think they have the potential to be great yet again this season. I think they’ll beat the Jayhawks narrowly in this one. Prediction- 73-68, Villanova

Game 12: Away vs. Stanford

Stanford is going to be really bad this season. They only have two proven players returning from an average roster last season. Prediction- 84-70, Kansas

Game 13: Home vs. West Virginia

After an awful season, I expect West Virginia to bounce back in a big way with four returning starters and the arrival of 5-star recruit Oscar Tshiebwe. This game could be interesting. Prediction- 75-70, Kansas

Game 14: Away vs. Iowa State

The Cyclones should take a step backward with the loss of star guards Talen Horton-Tucker and Lindell Wigginton. However, I’m sure they will find a way to hit 15 3-pointers against Kansas. Prediction- 79-74, Iowa State

Game 15: Home vs. Baylor

Baylor has a legitimate chance to contend with Kansas basketball for the Big 12 crown. Led by returning starters Mark Vital and Tristan Clark, the Bears are returning a stout roster that was efficient on both ends of the floor last year. Unfortunately for them, they don’t have a great history in Allen Fieldhouse. Prediction- 75-67, Kansas

Game 16: Away vs. Oklahoma

Head Coach Lon Kruger‘s young squad has some potential. However, they don’t have the size to compete with Kansas. Prediction- 82-68, Kansas

Game 17: Away vs. Texas

This could be the best team Shaka Smart has had while at Texas. They are returning a talented group of guards, along with some size down low. They are nowhere near as talented as Kansas, but they will have a chance at an upset in this game. Prediction- 80-77, Kansas

Game 18: Home vs. Kansas State

Kansas State lost its best group of seniors in program history. Returning senior Xavier Sneed will need to have a fantastic season if the Wildcats want to finish in the top half of the league. Prediction- 76-64, Kansas

Game 19: Home vs. Tennessee

This is one of the headline games in the Big 12/Sec Challenge this year. Unfortunately, Tennesse lost three All-SEC players in Jordan Bone, Grant Williams, and Admiral Schofield. They don’t have the offensive firepower to beat Kansas. Prediction 80-70, Kansas

Game 20: Away vs. Oklahoma State

I think Oklahoma State is one of the most underrated teams in the Big 12. They are returning their entire roster from a year ago led by senior small forward Cameron McGriff — McGriff averaged 20.5 points against Kansas last year. I think they will give the Jayhawks trouble this year. Prediction- 80-74, Oklahoma State
