The Jayhawks are expected to be either a one or two seed come every March, and this season is no different. Kansas basketball fans were angry last season because the Jayhawks got a *gasp* four seed in the tournament. Jayhawk fans are very spoiled when it comes to March, with Kansas being either a one or two seed in every season since March of 2006.

If the Jayhawks do all things they’re predicted to do earlier, they should have no problem getting the top seed in the Midwest region. Setting themselves up for the “easiest” path in the tournament will only help the Jayhawks.

Even if Kansas ends up with a two seed though, it certainly isn’t the end of the world. As everyone knows, anything can happen in March and the little numbers next to the teams don’t mean much when game time rolls around.

Still, getting the one seed is prestigious, and offers the perceived path of least resistance to the Final Four, which by the way, is another milestone Kansas basketball should strive for.
