The Kansas football team has a chance make homecoming week extra special. Here are the details on how to tune in to watch or listen to the Texas Tech game

I believe the week off gave David Beaty and the Kansas football team plenty of time to prepare to beat Texas Tech Saturday. “We had a little time to look deep into things we know we have to improve on,” Beaty said during this week’s Big 12 coaches teleconference.  There are several areas that need attention. Mental mistakes are costly and the Jayhawks must avoid turnovers and get a few turnovers of their own. “We have to improve turnover margin, said Beaty.  “We have to get some extra possessions.”

The 11 a.m. kickoff at home is an advantage for the Jayhawks. I don’t care for the late morning games. As a matter of fact television demands the 11 a.m. games. On the other hand, nobody complains because of the exposure and the money. You never know what college student-athletes might do or not do with the early kickoff. I think it hurts the visiting team.

The Kansas football team must avoid a slow start this week. This is a problem for this Jayhawk team. I trust coach Beaty found the answer to fixing this critical issue. If the Jayhawks can run the ball to manipulate the clock, get a turnover or two and avoid big plays, they can surprise Texas Tech and get a victory.
