Kansas football received more good news Wednesday. The Jayhawks get love from the television schedule over the first three weeks of the season.

David Beaty’s third season leading the Jayhawks will get some quality television time to begin the college football season.

According to a media release from the Big 12 conference, the Jayhawks will get live TV coverage of their first three games. The now very big re-match with Texas in Austin is also scheduled for television.

The Jayhawk Network will carry the Saturday, September 2 season opener with Southeast Missouri State at 6 p.m. The network is available across Kansas and the Kansas City metro. Viewers outside Kansas can watch the game on ESPN 3.

A week later on Saturday, September 9 Kansas football fans will need some sunscreen for the 3 p.m. kickoff against Central Michigan at Memorial Stadium.

If you aren’t able to attend in person, Fox Sports Network will carry the game.

In week three, Beaty takes the Jayhawks on their first road trip of the 2017 season. They will play at Ohio led by former Nebraska head coach Frank Solich.

The Mid-America Conference scheduled the September 16 game for a 1 p.m. kickoff. ESPN 3 will broadcast the game. The Bobcats beat the Jayhawks in Lawrence last season.

After these three game, we will know a lot about this Kansas football team.

If the Jayhawks win those first two home games, the road trip to Ohio will be huge. Kansas football has not won on the road since September of 2009.

The bigger road trip and rematch for fans is also set for television. On November 11, the Jayhawks will go to Austin.

After beating the Longhorns last season, Kansas will have their hands full. The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. kickoff on the Longhorn Network and Jayhawk Network.
