As a matter of fact, I didn’t think the 6 foot 8-inch guard from Ukraine would return for his senior season. I’m sure glad he did.
Kansas basketball will benefit by having someone who started 25 games last year and really knows Bill Self’s system. Equally important, the coach seem’s very pleased.
"Svi utilized the process exactly the way it is meant to be.We know he knows what he needs to do this upcoming season to get to the next level. We’re excited and anxious for Svi to come back and help us play at a high level."
It’s unfortunate he sprained an ankle during the NBA draft combine. In reality, the injury may be a blessing in disguise for his game and Kansas basketball.
Mykhailiuk came to the United States to play in the NBA. That is his ultimate goal.
On the other hand, Mykhailiuk could make a lot of money playing basketball in Europe. I thought he might leave the states and work on his game in Europe. I did not see him going the NBA D-League route. It will be fun having him back for one more year.
