The talk of the town has been around how KU will deal without former quarterback Jalon Daniels around anymore. And those are completely warranted worries.

You go from a steady quarterback with a high floor but a reasonably low ceiling to a complete unknown commodity. At least unknown to Big 12 Football.

Beyond that, the running back room looks solid enough with Dylan Edwards, Yasin Willis and  Jalen Dupree. Looking out wide, you see Cam Pickett, Nahzae Cox and Nik McMillan as the presumed leaders in that room. With help from a large tight end contingent involving Jailen Butler, Carson Bruhn and Leyton Cure.

But what about the offensive line?

Kansas will be playing with an offensive line will be chopped and changed

Last season, Kansas mostly relied on the likes of Bryce Foster, Kobe Baynes, Amir Herring, Enrique Cruz Jr. and Calvin Clements. Yet, Cruz was recently selected in the NFL draft, with Foster and Kobe Baynes looking for their own route to the league, leaving Herring, Clements and a bunch of transfers to shape their 2026 front.

Among the newcomers are Connor Stroh, Brandon Solis, Nick Morrow, Kasen Carpenter and Trezelle Jenkins Jr.

Below we will list each of the aforementioned players, their class, the starts/appearances  that they made last season at their position and at what school they played

Amir Herring, redshirt junior, 12 (12), LG, Kansas University

Calvin Clements, redshirt junior, 12 (12), LT, Kansas University

Connor Stroh, redshirt junior, 12 (5), LG, Texas

Trezelle Jenkins Jr, sophomore, 10 (4), RG, LG, LT, Wayne State

Kasen Carpenter, redshirt junior, 7 (2), C, Oklahoma State

Brandon Solis, redshirt junior, 0, Missouri

Nick Morrow, redshirt junior, 13 (5), LT, Cal

As you can see, this is an extremely interesting incoming team; the players not mentioned who are currently on the roster  will be listed below

Redshirt sophomore DeAndre Harper

Redshirt freshman Anderson Kopp

Redshirt senior James Livingston

Redshirt sophomore Eli Richmond

Redshirt sophomore Jack Tanner

Redshirt junior Tavake Tuikolovatu

Redshirt junior Antonio Wilson

Freshman Kaden Snyder

Freshman Kaden Moody

Freshman Malachi Mills

Freshman Marco Mohajir

Freshman Max Manske

Last season, Kansas’ offensive line finished the season No. 76 in quarterback-sacked percentage at 6.04%. No. 60 in rush offense, with 157.8 rushing yards per game. No. 88 in passing yards per game with 211. Overall, Kansas’ offense ranked No. 77 with 368.8 offensive yards per game.

Fortunately, KU’s offensive front is led by Darryl Agpalsa, who has churned out several NFL names since being added to the staff in February of 2024; these include Bryce Cabeldue, Logan Brown and Cruz.

Now of course, it can be hard to find specific stats tied towards the offensive line, which is why we took a more general route towards this, but that being said, no rushing offense can be successful without a strong line, no passing offense can be great without one either, so getting the line sorted ahead of next season is probably the most important thing that can happen, even beyond the eventual quarterback selection.
