Kansas basketball and its promising start to the 2024-25 season encountered a major obstacle this week with back-to-back road losses to unranked Creighton and Missouri. While both defeats stung, the Border Showdown defeat carried extra weight given the deep-rooted rivalry with Mizzou. It marked a painful setback for the Jayhawks, who entered the season as the No. 1 team in the country.
